This is a heavy 4 ply weight - in fact I think it would be quite happy as a double knit in many patterns. We're swatching like mad and will post pictures and guages as soon as possible.

The yarn is 50% suri alpaca, 50% merino, so must be hand washed. It has a soft fuzzy feel, and the first thing I'm trying it out on is a cowl scarf. However it seems very sturdy and would made wonderfully snuggly socks.
