4 ply 75% superwash merino, 25% nylon which can be machine washed at up to 40C.
We've tested our sock wool yarns by washing at 40 degrees in a washing machine with Ecover detergent, and both yarn and colours emerged happy. However machines and detergents vary, so we suggest that you knit a tiny sample from your sock yarn and wash it in the same way as you will treat your final socks. In the unlikely event any colour does fade you'll know you need to treat your socks differently. You should do this for every colour as different dyes can react to different detergents.
Each colourway is made up of two 50g skeins, one the reverse of the other. You can choose to knit socks which are related but do not match (and avoid second sock syndrome), or you can have matching socks with contrasting heels and toes.

Knits to 36 stitches and 44 rows over 10cm in stocking stitch on 2.25mm pins or 28 stitches and 36 rows in stocking stitch on 3.25mm pins.
