The Goddess Shawl design came about as a pattern to teach a beginners lace class - and it's an easy design to learn on. An extra bonus is that all profits will go to Macmillan Cancer Care.
As soon as you've paid for your order your pattern will be sent to you as a pdf file. If you are not ordering anything which has to be posted, the postage charge will automatically be refunded to you.
This is the perfect pattern for a beginner lace knitter as it explains the different ways charts are used, and allows you to become comfortable with the most common lace stitches.
The shawl can be knitted from one 25g skein of laceweight cashmere and is worked on 3.25mm pins - but you could easily work with 4ply yarn and larger pins.
The shawl has a border of little goddesses, and once blocked measures 130cm tip to tip and 45cm deep. The pattern is written so that the shawl can easily be made larger.
